The Emblem Surf 35 Type R is the result of field research carried out by Daiwa teams on the coasts of the Iberian Peninsula.

Listening to the best surf casting anglers, Daiwa engineers designed a product better suited to the needs of local experts, while remaining focused on casting distances. It is watertight thanks to Daiwa MagSealed oil. To deal with all possible situations, the reel has two additional reels, with 3 reels in total. Sometimes it is better to opt for nylon that is strong enough to withstand strong conditions (storms, strong waves and areas with currents or rocks). However, in good conditions and when it is necessary to look for fish far away, it is preferable to opt for fine or very fine nylon (below 20/100).

To improve their casting distance, surf casting specialists use very thin nylon diameters, often less than 20/100. The Emblem Type-Rs have a 300m capacity of 18/100. This coil shape limits the risk of tangling.

Aiming to improve performance in fishing action, Daiwa developed a new oscillation system that reduces tangles and improves the distribution of nylon on the reel. Thanks to the Slow Cross Wrap, the line leaves the reel perfectly when casting and allows you to place the assembly and sinker at a great distance. This is a key point for thinner and more fragile strands.
